Hickory Hills
has the opportunity to hunt eastern wild turkey from early March thru the first of May. Hunters have the chance to hunt our entire ranch and go were it is needed to get gobbling birds. Typically turkey hunts are fully guided but hunters can choose to call in their own birds.

Typically turkey hunting is done in what ever manner the hunter wants. If left up to the guide hunters will hunt daylight as the birds fly down from roost and work their way to available hens. If hunters are not successful in the first couple of hours they will usually take a mid day break and return to the woods for an afternoon hunt working there way around looking in fields for feeding birds.

Over the past several years Hickory Hills has produced a large number of birds for hunters. With success rates on spring turkey hunts being 80% on poor years (100% on good years). Turkey hunts are 3-day hunts and include meals and lodging. So everyone will have an enjoyable hunt we limit hunters to 2 birds per three-day hunt.
